XKE 6 cylinder Tie Rod Ends

The 6 cylinder cars use a tie rod end very similar to the later XJ6, XJS and V12 XKE. The big difference is that the 6 cylinder cars have

very short tie rod ends and as such, have to have a larger bend angle than the later cars. The tie rod on the right is a later one and the angle

is approx. 115 degrees. The one on the left is a 6 cylinder XKE and is 125 degrees. You can use the one on the left on the later cars without

a problem. However, if you install the one on the right onto a 6 cylinder XKE, something is going to bend or break when the car is jacked up

off the ground. This applies to the power racks as well as the manual racks.
